Roy R. Johnson

I am a native Hoosier, born in Valparaiso, Indiana. My father was a farmer, and my mother was a schoolteacher.  I was raised on a farm in southeastern LaPorte County and attended public schools in Walkerton, Indiana. My wife of 50+ years, Nancy, is also from Walkerton. I have undergraduate and law degrees from Indiana University Bloomington (A.B., with distinction, 1972; J.D., cum laude, 1975), was elected to Phi Eta Sigma and Phi Beta Kappa scholastic honorary societies. Nancy is also a graduate of Indiana University and is a retired teacher who taught reading at the Bluffton Elementary School. We have lived in Bluffton since July 1975. We are members of the Bluffton First United Methodist Church. We have two daughters, Sarah Withers, a pharmacist at CVS in Bluffton, and Christina Kurut, a registered nurse at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. We have four wonderful grandchildren: Hannah, Ash, Hudson, and Jasmine.

My mentor attorney told me early on in my career to concentrate on the quality of my work, the rest will follow.  Approximately 50 years of practice have enabled me to build a skill set that will help me guide you through the legal process. I have focused my practice on the areas of family law, real estate, estate planning and administration, wills and trusts, business law, and personal injury. I have been privileged to serve on the Wells County Election Board since 1978 and as the attorney for Wells County for nearly a decade.
